Hazel started out her yoga journey in year 2000 to cope with her hectic lifestyle and bad posture. Upon reaping the benefits of regular yoga practice,  she decided to deepen her knowledge on yoga by diving into a 200hrs Teacher’s Training Course at Tirisula Yoga in Singapore. To further enhance her knowledge and practice, she went to Rishikesh India to obtain 300hrs at Association for  Yoga and Meditation. She is also a 500hours certified Yoga therapist where she works with patients of varied health conditions. 

 

She is a firm believer in holistic therapy for overall mental and physical wellbeing. Hence, she armed herself with some useful skills in swedish massage, sports massage and Myofascial Release. Additionally, she is a himalayan singing bowl practitioner and an apprentice from the internationally renowned Singing bowl pioneer – Master Shree from Nepal.

 

After sustaining a back injury from an accident, she turn to Pilates as a form of rehabilitation. With regular practice, she has since recovered from pain and is feeling stronger. With the keen interest to add this beautiful practice into her teaching, she is certified in STOTT PILATES Level 1 Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels and trained in Advance Matwork. In addition, she is trained in Injuries & Special Populations under STOTT Pilates education and Pre and Post-natal under The Centre for Women’s Fitness. She enjoys creating a safe and comfortable environment for her clients of all levels of experience and fitness goals. Her motto for fitness is: Physical fitness is the major requisite of happiness!
